For this second anniversary of The Federalist Review, I wanted to simply write a message of thank you, to all those who have taken the time to read my work and subscribe to my newsletter.
Gratefulness and appreciation overcome me when I think of anyone reading my opinions on Canadian political affairs. I sincerely hope you have enjoyed reading it, as much as I have in writing it.
Admittedly, balancing the obligations of having a young family with full-time employment does prove to be challenging in producing written works with any level of regularity, having wished several times over that I could devote more time honing and improving this craft.
One of my primary motivations has always been to offer perspectives not driven by narrow partisanship, but rather critical engagement across the entire Canadian political landscape, with the aim of increasing awareness and demands for accountability.
This becomes ever more important as we continue to see the attempted governmental influence on large swaths of our legacy media, in an unrelenting bid to shield the federal government from genuine scrutiny.
It should never matter what party or person occupies power in the pursuit of holding government to account. This used to be the understood doctrine of traditional free press, and in my own small way, this newsletter is partly a modest attempt to help recapture and promote that diminishing purpose.
If you are among those who enjoy reading my submissions, please share and recommend my newsletter to others in your own networks that you feel may be interested, as a growing subscribership gives me additional motivation to continue on with this endeavour.
And finally, a special thanks to my family and friends for their ongoing support and encouragement throughout this journey, whom without, makes these things seem less possible.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone.

Ang, after years of hearing your point of view on politics and other current events, this platform was sorely overdue and such a great outlet for you. I always thought you should have a podcast and I hope at some point that could come true! Keep up the great writing for all of our sakes. ✍️
Ps It would also be great if some of your articles could give us some point of view of a historical event in politics. Like when you explained The Night of the Long Knives between Trudeau (the good one) and Leveque! Still one of the greatest dramatic retellings of an otherwise boring Canadian political event. 😀
Amazing work!
